If the City of Aztec hires a federal lobbyist, officials have said the Waste Water Treatment Plant on South Oliver Avenue will become a financial priority. This oxidation oval, the city's first step in treating raw sewage, is backed up due to a broken roter that helps turn the waste. Manager Gale Perkins said the plant has seen few repairs over the last 23 years.
